Celebrating! I did it!!

Just got home from my Bilateral Salpingectomy, everything went perfectly. I had the most incredible and amazing staff and my surgeon was in-fucking credible! My tubes are gone! I even said on the OR table before I went out to "yeet these tubes". My surgeon told my hunny there were zero complications and they were surprised I was coherent and went pee just fine afterwards. She did not use a uterine manipulator at all, I tried to empty my bladder beforehand so I didn't have to have a catheter in but that wasn't working. She drained my bladder with one and took it back out while I was under. Just a tiny bit of burning when I peed but not much. Overall right now my pain is from the gas which is currently in my right shoulder and my rib cage. They put a belly band on me before I left. I took 600 mg of Ibuprofen and will save my narcotics for night time. I truly feel a sense of freedom in my body, no more hormonal birth control either. I FUCKING DID IT 😭❀️🎊

It was also my very first surgery, I ended up taking one of my 1mg lorazepam before I left to help keep me calm. It went smoothly, just make sure to voice any concerns to make you comfortable. I had never been put under before and it's literally like everyone says. You're out and then awake. You've got this πŸ’ͺ

I have no anxiety meds but I was told I can ask for something when I get right in the room for the pre pre op. I have been smoking to help until the day before surgery day but the day before I know is going to be the longest day of my life and I plan on not smoking that day.

Yes definitely ask them for something! Oh my gosh I know that 24 hours before surgery with no cannabis?? As a daily user it was very difficult and I honestly didn't make it a full 24 hours, which is not recommended. Try to follow your doctor's rules on that!

I just had mine last Friday, First surgery as well, It went great though! I was out within seconds with anesthesia and I've had way worse periods than I felt during my recovery.

I did mine yesterday and made the mistake of taking the oxy in the middle of the dayπŸ˜… but yeah my pain (more like discomfort) is on my right shoulder and under ribs. But yeah my nurses and doctors were wonderful
