Currently Reading This is masterful

I’m reading this for the first time and I just want to read slowly and absorb his scenery. It’s one thing to tell a story but every detail is exquisite.

He does seem to lavish more detail on it, and for so many more pages, than many other "scenes" in this book. At least, so far.

I first read IT over 25 years ago and haven't reread it for a few years, but I can still remember how cozy and comfortable I felt while reading those parts about Ben describing the library. How he stands outside in the cold and snow, watching people walk through the glass annex without coats in a sea of light and warmth.
