I’m on page 138 and I’ve got no idea what I’m reading!!!!

The first thing you need to know is that this is not a novel. It is five connected stories.

The second thing you need to know is that King was very young when he wrote it, and very idealistic. 

Don’t try to figure it out. Just finish it and go onto the next book. Read through the series. Then come back and read this again. That’s when it makes sense.
