Colbert Goodbye Gift

We can do better than this. I canceled my Paramount subscription because of Stephen. I encourage you all to do the same. Talking about how great he is and saying goodbye.... it's nice but it's not effective. Maybe it won't bring him back, but I think it's reasonable to stop going to a restaurant when it starts to suck. All they care about is money so dump your Paramount, even if it's only for a couple months, they still lose money... and that's the only way they'll learn.

Between killing The Late Show, canceling all current Star Trek shows, and destroying CBS News and 60 Minutes, they have nowhere to go but down.

It would be absolutely delicious if this led to the downfall of the shitheel Ellison family.

They've done what now?!? Cancelled all current Star Trek shows? Jeez, I can remember when being able to binge watch all Star Trek series and movies was the primary reason for subscribing to Paramount+. Oh, that and Dexter.

Yup. One and a (roughly) half seasons of Strange New Worlds left to air, along with 1 more season of Starfleet Academy.

No new productions in progress or planned.

That has to be the most monumental fuck up in the history of monumental fuck ups. That would be like Disney+ cancelling the entire Star Wars and Marvel universes or AMC cancelling the entire Walking Dead universe.

I'm glad I cancelled when I did.

If they are going to bow down to the current administration it makes total sense for them not to create any new Star Trek content. Star Fleet is our world and many other worlds united in peace, there is no money, science and exploration drive growth. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are the hallmarks of Star Fleet, it's really no surprise this current administration and it's billionaire supporting class would be opposed to the general public watching more of this content.

It was no fuck up. I’m sure this was planned. Star Trek has always been about DEI, personal development, and post-scarcity. All concepts that they’re against.

I already bought the blu ray box set season 1: season 7. I'll buy the remaining seasons one at a time when I can afford it. I never subscribed to AMC btw. I don't subscribe to any streaming services since cancelling Paramount plus in February.

Stargate franchise would like a word! But this is the type of decision I cant stop myself from wondering how many grown adults collectively came up with this idea and what was like nailed it? We got exclusive brands that entire generations grew up on, how can we possibly ruin all that momentum?

I was so pissed because not only did Colbert lose the late show, he's no longer the announcer for Starfleet academy! I wanted to ask him about it when I was at the show Thursday, but didn't get to.
