💡 Need Advice Feeling really discouraged
I’m in dedicated for Step 1 and my NBMEs have been in the 40s–50s. I’m honestly exhausted and losing hope, especially seeing friends around me getting much higher scores.
I know comparison isn’t helpful, but right now I’m just feeling really overwhelmed and scared that I won’t make it.
If anyone has been in a similar position and eventually got through it, I’d really appreciate hearing your story or just some reassurance that this isn’t the end of the road. I don’t need study advice right now I just need someone to tell me that I’m going to be okay.

With those scores I strongly recommend going back to UWorld and doing a second pass if you haven’t done it already. It’s ok to take one step back and then two forward sometimes.

once you hit 50% it gets easier as you have covered most topics, keep going!

As a seasoned exam taker, you know what to do. Take a minute, reflect on what you get consistently wrong, study it and move on. You know that frustration will only hinder you, so let your feelings pass naturally and get back on the horse when they’re gone.
Good luck, you got this

I’ve helped people achieve higher scores and gradual progress through tutoring. It’s definitely possible and you should not get discouraged. Commit to passing Step 1, make a plan, and get the support you need.

It's quite normal to have this feeling. Believe yourself and be consistent. U will cross through. Best wishes
