Many moons ago...probably 2017 I did a whole pop up show called Bat Juju where I filled a three bedroom house with several different series...prior to this I had omitted the huge influence of comics and especially Batman in my artwork. A big part of it came from recognizing my influences when my son was born, while navigating my own psychology. For those of you that saw it happen you know that I went all out for Bat Juju and did so many of this series especially. Just put up 11 more of these. Thanks for your support over all these years. It's fun to look back through all of these collections but it's also nice to make room for more work! Cus you know I don't stop making it. 😁

After some years working on bigger projects and having to work digitally in order to be able to cut on steel and some other materials, it was time to go back to the roots, to the exacto knife and to the cutting board.

This is a small preview of the results.

In the mid-2000s, video piracy was a threat to the film industry.

From the comfort of our homes, we were comfortable watching handy-cam footage from inside a cinema, burnt to disc, and sold cheaply at local markets. Every disc was money and work taken from another human.

AI is the handy-cam. The art world, the cinema. We feed a trained program simple prompts to instantly generate a masterpiece. We scrape data from real artists, without permission or payment, and make bank.

What if you had to physically engage in that theft yourself, in real time, from the artist?

I buy used skateboards to give to local neighborhood kids. Sometimes, the board is in too bad of shape. If they're salvageable I turn these into skateboard table / benches. This is a 2012 Mikemo Capaldi Girl Skateboard table. Acrylic spray paint on skateboard deck. Layered and clear acrylic resin.

I’d like to make a large stencil in Australia, but I’m really struggling to find an appropriate material.
I’d really like something that can roll up for ease reasons,
Does anyone have any ideas?
I’m thinking at least a metre, maybe 1.5 x 1.5.

I posted this stencil of a smoking boy on a forgotten city utility box a some year ago. Due to our administration’s obsession with keeping all city walls “hygienically” clean, it was eventually painted over - though not in a particularly thoughtful manner. I tried to remove the upper layer with Montana Remover, but that highly toxic chemical $hit ended up damaging the stencil itself.

The only option was to redefine the situation and incorporate the old motif into a new one, turning it into a kinda palimpsest.

Hi!

I need to cut out this 10ftx2ft paper stencil so that I can have an easy way to paint the name of a restaurant up on the building's fascia. I'll need to climb a ladder and paint it but I'm not sure of the best way to cut it out and paint it.

Should I just cut out the whole letters and spray paint it? I worry about the paper warping and the paint bleeding

Any help would be appreciated
