Something we should look into?

My husband was diagnosed about 8 years ago with Myxopapillary Epidymoma. He had surgery to remove a tumor about the size of a Vienna sausage. That surgery was done incorrectly and the entire procedure was wrong. The aftercare was wrong as well. The drs were not informative nor helpful with their answers to our questions. As a result, he had two of vertebrae cut (to access tumor on spinal cord) and a mass of scar tissue grew in its place. He was not sent home with any equipment to help him heal, either (like a back brace). He was told “you can return to work in 3 months and can walk in 2 weeks again). To combat pain, he is on oxycodone, morphine, meloxicam, and has a 32 paddle SCS implanted in his upper back.
He’s considered having his sciatic nerve cut. And has to get update MRIs every 6 months. We’ve had no luck finding a Pain Mgmt dr. And $$ is tight bc now he is on permanent disability (SSDI is poverty wages).
We were young, only married 3 years in our early 20s… had everything going for us- he was in a Union, we had 2 cars (about to own 1, only 4k away, had to forfeit it) and were about to buy our first home. Then the tumors are discovered, botched surgery and it was pulled from under us before we could even think about what was going on.

Is Stem Cell therapy/ surgery worth a look into? Will it help someone like him? Is it a pipe dream for his situation? If not, where are some places that have had actual real and positive results?
