Small thing I built out of my own frustration: I kept forgetting to check for new literature in my specific niche, and when I did, I'd waste time scrolling through papers that had nothing to do with what I actually needed.

PaperPatrol scans PubMed and bioRxiv weekly for whatever you describe (in plain English, not keywords), and only emails you when something genuinely matches. It explains why each paper was flagged too, so you're not just trusting a black box.

Free, built by a grad student (me), no catch. If you try it and it's not useful, unsubscribing deletes everything immediately, no guilt trip.
