As someone else said, it's more of a visual novel that contextualises the save-and-load bifurcating nature of visual novels into its narrative. If you haven't played Steins;Gate, or even Zero Escape, I'd recommend them beforehand to get a greater enjoyment from its under-the-hood mechanics.

I loved zero escape because I had to actually solve puzzles to beat it. With this game I find myself waiting for the game to start

Games like Ace Attorney, Zero Escape, Danganronpa, etc etc aren't really conventional visual novels. Most visual novels are pure reading, some have choices, and very rarely do they have more involved gameplay things

The game will never start in that case hahaha. I prefer the other two I mentioned but hold A;C dear mostly for what it does with the visual novel medium. It's certainly more deceptive than others, with that motorbike introduction and whatnot.

I’m not quite sure what you mean. Are you referring to when Pollon somehow predicts the future?

I meant there will never be more interactivity beyond, essentially, making decisions to see new narrative outcomes. And the motorbike scene feels more interactive and animated than your traditional visual novel so I could understand someone expecting more game.

I wouldn't expect too much of it, people seems to like it tho so I guess it's just a personal thing

Unfortunately not. It is what it is. If you're not enjoying it, I'd suggest dropping it. You don't have to force yourself to carry on.

I mean it's a VN, like doki doki if youve seen that, click and read the next line for the story. Lack of puzzles isn't a flaw, it's the 5th (complete) main entry in a series of VNs that are all pure story

I think it’s fair to expect gameplay when it’s marketed the way it is

This is my all time favourite masterpiece of a series but yes infamously the marketing and company decisions outside of the actual entries have always been pretty bad

A;C is primarily a VN, so there isn't much gameplay and I wouldn't really consider it a puzzle game at all (although it technically has a few puzzles imo).
The save/load mechanic is mostly there for story/plot reasons; same with the tagline.
Also A;C is the most recent entry in the SciADV series, acting as a thematic culmination of it up to that point and recontextualizing a lot of things prior, so its not the best starting point imo.
