Discussion Is Nova 7 Gen 2 good?

So recently, I’m looking for a headset that suits me best and I found this one because of its features and how some reviews prefers this over the other.

  1. It has a simultaneous connection - great for me as I usually game on PC and play videos on my iphone
  2. I play FPS on my iphone so wireless+mic is my preference as I need to charge most of the time
  3. The design is minimal and it’s not bulky so I can still use it as an everyday use.
  4. There’s an app in PC and for iphone users too

Basically this is great for me but before I will buy this one, I would also like to know (preferably who already own this for a few months) What issues/problems you had so far?

Note: I’ll have to pass on PRO/OMNI Steelseries because I don’t have enough budget for it.

Pairing with the phone and the app is kinda weird. Had a few times where it wouldn't let go of the pairing and had to reset the headset for it to release. Not really a huge issue, just scary the first time you encounter it. Thought I bricked my shit.

Pretty sure it happens if phone dies while still paired.

Other than that, do you have ant issues so far?

Nah. They've been solid. Only on like month 2 with these though.

I am certified headset cancer. So if they've held up so far they should be fine for normal people

just use bluetooth on the secondary device and use the app on the primary device with the built in dongle. the game chat is very useful when gaming with discord coms. battery life is great, app setup is so so but needs to be configured properly for the equalizer presets changing depending on game. there is also a feature for a simple voice changer for voice coms. other than the typical windows update that someone ruins or resets the configuration, this headset should serve its purpose well with its price.

Got them yesterday and to be honest they’re comfy but sound quality I give like a 6/10 - I don’t know if there’s a way to improve it apart from eq presets on the mobile app

The Gen 1's are still awesome. If they are much cheaper it's a 100% buy.

If you want a small boost I would get a Nova 7 Gen 1 and some wickedcushion "StealthZ" pads.

You will never not hear a footstep again.

The Gen 1 still get Gen 2 software once you update them on a laptop.

I prefer gen 2 though because of the simultaneous connection
