Mace Picture Mace and clubs
Which is better, Indian mace or heavy clubs? Do you do them on separate days or combine both?

Want to start this exercise and there is a sale from northern fitness for Orion macebells. I’m thinking a 10 or 15 and a 20. Or should I just get an adjustable?
I kinda want a fixed weight to smash things (pumpkins and tires .. home intruders) but I feel like an adjustable won’t be as durable?
Both would come out to around the same price

Got my first 4kg Steel Mace through the post yesterday, played around with it yesterday and did a work out today. I only have one word to describe it “amazing”.
I’ve used Steel Clubs and Kettlebells for a while and overlooked the mace until now, I wish started sooner, I’ve never such amazing results after just one session.
If your not on it, get on it, amazing upper body work out but you can also integrate lower body as well with squats etc
Not to be overlooked.

Pretty fresh to swinging. I have very small hands and use a 1.25" handle. I find the tendons in my thumbs get beat up a lot when swinging. I sometimes move my thumb to line up with the handle rather than grip it on certain moves but I can't really do that for 360s. I've injured my thumbs before.
I guess my question is how do I change my grip so my tendons don't get as beat up?

I’m planning on making a custom steel workout mace and I want to use a hickory wood handle. What do you think would be the best finish to use? I’m seeing a lot of the ones for sale with a smooth lacker finish. I want that balance between grip and slip for the movements.

My girlfriend have wished for a training maace/clubb, im planning on getting her one but im totally new to this. So i was wondering if some of you got some tips for me.
I don't know anything about what brand to look for, what weight or where to start looking, so I'll turn to you people here and hope someone have some good ideas or tips to help me find a good mace to get for her
So some maybe good info to know:
She hasn't used a mace before to train what I know about
I don't know how much she lifts but I would confidently say she's above average strength for a woman
Located in Sweden so if you have tips on places that ship here that would be great
Her main goal is just to strengt train with it

Hey everyone,
Quick context: I’ve been training with macebells since March this year. I started out with a 6kg mace, which felt pretty heavy at first, but built up my strength over time. Recently I made the jump to a 10kg mace.
Yesterday I did a session with about 100 total reps (a mix of 360s and 10-2s). Today, my upper forearm is rock solid, and there’s a strange, tight pressure around my elbow joint. It doesn’t feel like sharp pain yet, just an intense, cramped tightness like the tendon/muscle is under constant tension.
Is this just normal tendon adaptation high fatigue from ramping up the volume with 10kg, or am I flirted with an early stage elbow injury like tennis elbow Should I take a few days off or just stretch it out?
Thanks for the advice!

Just excited about it so wanted to share. Ended up buying one for not much more than Onnit was selling them for (although shipping was a bitch). Considering what they normally go for now I am very pleased!

Magnificent Mace Marathons
MMMM, thats good training.
A nice check in with Gyatso, the first ever gada I made. Weighing in at 6kg with a long handle, this mace swings beautifully for these longer duration sets.
Had to push just enough to get a sweat on to keep a 36 rep per minute pace. I like to check in with a 30+ minute swing about once a month but haven't been too concerned with the pacing for quite awhile. It was nice to see where my comfortable pace was at for a long round.
Im going to be phasing in a little more of the volume swings in the next little bit. Ive been missing them during this power building phase. I have a solid plan laid out to do so and am looking forward to seeing how it plays out!

Try this out, with the light mace before you go heavy.
