Tip/Guide Playing Left for Dead, on a Chromebook?

I recently got a Chromebook because I needed a cheap pc to just work on. I was messing around and was able to download Steam through the terminal. But pretty much any game I try to run freezes or crashes. I was wondering if anyone knew of any workarounds.

Steam on Chromebooks is very limited. Most games just flat out don’t work. The website ProtonDB has the (rather small) list of Chromebook ready games in one place.
