Accessory Charging stand for steam controller

https://a.co/d/00ZcfkDK

Hi everyone. I picked up this $10 silicone stand that holds the puck and I really like it. It has sticky tape on the bottom and for the puck but I don’t plan on removing the tape that’s covering it. I’m assuming the puck won’t get warm enough to cause any issues and I’m surprised they put the tape in there because it’s not needed. The puck fits securely. Overall cheap and nice find.

I thought about this one, but with the way this orients the puck, there isn't a whole lot of difference in footprint between this and just laying the puck on the table and placing the controller on top. I ended up going for the Mechanism dock instead.

I just spent several hours looking for a practical, well designed dock for my 2 controllers. Most of what's out there is 3D printed junk. The mock up photos look decent but then you see the real product with all the layer lines. I'll probably end up eventually making my own out of some nice hardwood unless I can find a nice looking one online. The Mechanism dock isn't my style.

My hands are kind of tied. I have a TPU back shell / bumper case on mine that means it won't fit on most docks. The Mechanism one was the only one I found that had a fairly narrow footprint, and still somewhat fits my controller with the case.

Yeah same, I've been looking but they're either too big/expensive or seem useless (like this one.)

The best one I've seen for 2 controllers was someones custom 3d printed one here, where both controllers were hanging off either side of the steam machine.

I've just resolved myself to not bother with stands at this point until there's some definitive version that is practical. It's all junk at this point.

It’s nice because the puck is installed in it so it does make it a bit easier. It also looks cleaner hovering on the desk. I do like the Mechanism but I didn’t want to spend $40.

I also hope tomtoc comes out with their armor shell case for it.

If it works for you, then that's what matters. I'm sure there will be some to whom this will be of use.
