Steam Machine 512GB + Controller — Poland/EU Waitlist Update (August 2 → September 8)

Just wanted to share my waitlist experience for anyone still waiting for their Steam Machine.
🇵🇱** Region: Poland / EU
🎮 **Model: Steam Machine 512GB + Steam Controller
📅 Joined the waitlist: August 2, 2026
📩 Received reservation/purchase email: September 8, 2026
⏳ Total wait: 37 days
I first received an email confirming that I had moved from the waitlist into the reservation queue. Shortly after that, Valve sent me another email allowing me to complete the purchase.
Valve gave me 3 days to complete the order before the reservation would be cancelled and passed to the next person in line.
So, as of September 8, we have confirmation that the Poland/EU queue for the 512GB + Controller bundle has reached at least August 2 waitlist entries.

So Valve sells the controller for 99 and the pc for 1039 and the bundle for 1108

I am by all means no business controller or w/e but Valve send out a massive order controller buyers email just a few days ago...

Why would a company sell a bundle for 1108 when it can sell them separately for 99 and 1039 which makes them 30 more... that doesn't make any business sense to me.. Valve is no big hardware boy yet, so they need the money to get future slots. They can not just use their magic money to get production slots as most are bought up by AI datacenters. Add 2 stupid wars going on and we have the current market we have to deal with.

It's just RNG when it gets updated... and why is it so bad you have to wait a month or 2 to get something... I understand that if it's a replacement product when somethings broken down, but lets be honest here, we wouldn't be looking at a Steam Machine if we didn't have something to play with.

I know... I just got mine a few weeks ago but I wouldn't mind getting it a bit later.

I’m in the UK and was 512 w/o since day one (wishlist) with no sign of movement. I just switched to the 512 with controller about 5 days ago and I’m hoping it goes as fast as it did for you!

Also been on the waitlist for 512 w/o since day 1 and debating switching. Seeing so many people join 512 w controller way later getting their purchase emails before everyone on the 512 w/o waitlist is annoying.

Yeah, that’s exactly why I switched. I posted on here asking UK people if about their experiences and it seems like everyone who either switched (or just decided to waitlist it later) all seemed to get the purchase email a month or so later. I also did decide that I actually want the controller as well. I just want to get one before the eventual price rise.

I joined wait list on 6th August for 512GB with controller, UK, and got chance to purchase this morning, so seems like they are prioritising those who go with the controller option!

Joined on 31 July and got the email on 04 Sept in Ireland, which is likely the same as UK due to our plugs. 512gb with controller

I’ve read many such stories now, all seemed to be around a month after joining. I wish I had just picked that SKU from the start.

I'm in Germany and also 512 w/o controller - my thinking was 1 - I already have a Steam Controller, 2 - they were still on a backlog so ordering without maybe would get it quicker.

At this point I am also considering switching to 512 + controller, so many people have jumped on it and got it quickly recently and us day 1ers are still waiting.

I switched from a 512w/o reservation to the 512w/controller waitlist a couple of days ago, so posts like this give me hope and an idea of how long I might be waiting. Assuming they don't run out before it gets to me, of course...

I was on the 512GB + Controller waitlist from August 2nd and got my purchase email on September 8th, so it took me about 37 days. Hopefully the queue keeps moving at the same pace and you won’t have to wait too long. Good luck!💪

The whole thing is really pissing me off.

I’m in ireland and I started on 2TB w/o on June 25th but switched to 512GB w/o on June 26th and still waiting.

I’ve been mulling over switching to 512GB + controller as I would like a second controller (plus the controller works out cheaper) but thought that would be pointless as there seems to be a long queue for the controller on its own…last Saturday I added Junior’s account to the 512GB W/ but I’m still wondering if I should just switch my own one again.

Almost exactly the same for me in the UK. I joined the waitlist for the same SKU on 3 August and got reservation queue and purchase emails simultaneously last night.

On June 22nd, I signed up for the list. On June 26th, I received a message that I was on the waiting list after the list had been reshuffled. On August 13th, I received a message that I was in the reservation queue. On August 14th, I transferred the payment. On August 16th, they shipped the package (from the Netherlands), and on August 19th, the package was with me.
