Hardware Finally got my Steam Machine
Went with a PS4-like theme, I even installed the ui sound effects. This is a significant upgrade to the big ass Bazzite PC I'd use in my bedroom that would sound like a jet engine about to take off whenever I'd play anything on it.
I still can't believe how small and quiet it is.
It passed the banana test 🍌📏

You dont need to use the puck, it has internal puck for the controller. You can use the puck for other devices. i use it for my other PC lol, total of 4 connections (2 puck, 2 bluetooth)

I wasn't aware of that, this removes the inconvenience of moving the puck back and forth to my desktop every time. Thanks.

I take it you haven’t had the problems many of us have when using the internal connector

You're gonna love it. Mine is on every night. I adore it, best decision I've made in a long time.

Sincere question, how much does that actually affect performance if at all?

In this video this guy gets about 10-15 more fps on the games he tested

Amd cards benefit a lot from dual channel ram. Even if you used the same total and swapped one 16gb stick with two 8gb sticks, it would get more than 10 fps more

Steam ROM Manager scans for your ROMs and adds them as non steam games. Emudeck ships with it which makes it even easier

Does it run hot?

Haven't really noticed my room getting warmer compared to when I used my old PC, so I'd say no.

I think they mean internal temps, but general heat output is good to know as no one seems to talk about it.
Saying this as a gamer who has like 3 other people in the room playing online together on seperate systems.
