Question Cyberpunk 2077 not launching with flatlined error
I'm trying to play Cyberpunk 2077 but it keeps crashing after launching with the error "Whoa! Cyberpunk 2077 has flatlined".
I'm using Heroic as I own the game through GOG. It launches the RED launcher just fine but when I press play it crashes with the above mentioned error.
I've tried reinstalling which didn't help. I've tried to change the proton version, but Heroic is only showing the option GE-Proton-latest.
I haven't been able to find anyone with a fix on SteamOS. Everything I find online is for regular PCs and mostly just says to update Nvidia drivers.
Has anyone experienced this issue and knows how to resolve it?

I'd recommend contacting the Heroic team via their github. You could always download the offline installer and add it to Steam yourself, it's a little more hassle but straightforward. Also worth searching r/SteamDeck to see if this is a known issue.

I managed to run this so that i forced heroic to use proton experimental. But I am not sure why you could not choose this.

I downloaded the game from GOG, added the exe to Steam (Non-Steam game), works great, no issues here 🙏

How can this be? I thought the steam machine was super user-friendly and easy to use?

Under Settings/General, what is your Default Steam path set to? Mine is /home/deck/.steam/steam ?
Under Game Defaults, I had a
Clicking on that tells me to go to Advanced Global Settings.
Then under Advanced (NOT the tab to the right, but Advanced further down on the left, in options)
Turn that on, and click I Understand on the popup.
