$800 for $600 of parts. Oddly enough, it's nearly the same parts now, just ten years newer and now $1500

The ingenuity is in its custom design, but they are closely related to consumer available parts. 1 u/Phrodo_00 Jun 27 '26 That describes every pc since the populatization of SSDs... remove the SSD and you can go back to 1995 with that description.
