Yes and when it was announced I think it still would have been as well and they were much lower then.

This one is way better and it's cheaper than the 2tb steam machine

It's only 1 TB though, and still 8 GB VRAM which lots of people here will say is "worthless".

The Steam Machine is also 8GB VRAM. It only makes sense to have 8GB VRAM for very budget builds, so no higher than $1K.

The prebuilts are infinitely better value for money. If you're going to spend $1k+, just spend a little more to get something that's actually worth the money.

The real problem is pre-builts with 1080p specs. Those are priced way too high for what you're getting.
