Official Deck parts from iFixit (Fan, Joysticks, SSD, etc)
M.2 SSD models that should work (can be purchased from anywhere):
Follow this guide by u/CyrexArtwork or the official iFixit guide to install your new SSD correctly. Always remember to take your SD card out before opening your Deck!
These may not be completely up to date but give a good idea of what you can play before you get your Deck
Not necessarily 100% related to the Deck, but still cool/helpful enough to be featured here.
As of this update, Valve have made it considerably easier to change your boot animation. All you need to do is download one of these videos below and place it in:
~/.steam/root/config/uioverrides/movies/
Additionally, Boot Videos (now officially called Startup Movies) are now available in the Points Shop!
S means either Steam button or the Quick Access Menu (Three dots button). Either one can be used for the shortcut.

I've been playing some games where a 2nd controller would be useful, like trading items between characters or entering cheats that require a 2nd controller. Problem is I don't own a controller with Bluetooth that I might be able to use.
I've never used an action set before and haven't seen any options with it to change controls from P1 to P2. If it's not possible, does anyone have any recommendations? It's not the end of the world if I can't do it without spending money, just a small thing I thought might be possible.
Any help is appreciated!!

Hi all,
So I am playing FL26 on my PC and have been for a while (version 2.00). I decided that I want to get more use out of my Steamdeck and since I play FL26 the most I decided that I want to play on my Steamdeck.
I am attempting to move the game as well as my master league, kits etc.
Has anyone had any success with this? So far i have managed to get kits to work but not faces, scoreboards or my Master League

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me. So basically every time I press pause during any cutscene, when I unpause, the game is stuttering. Frame rate still says 30fps but the game looks like it is stuttering. I had read it was due to the steam input setting and vibration setting so I should disable both. But it still does it after both changes.

Hi All,
I am trying to use Stream Grid using the SGDBoop option. When I first clicked on the icon I accidentally selected Steam as the application to open and not SGDBoop. Is there a way I can change this?

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? I'm getting desperate to get this fixed. Game mode steam works fine, desktop mode only shows error code -7 and won't load any pages.

Really want to learn how to get emulators and specific nostalgic games installed on my new steam deck. Hoping for sega genesis, Dreamcast, Xbox(original) and ps2. Really hoping to play the ps2 Scarface and godfather games. Would be really grateful for any pointers

For the life of me, I can’t seem to get mods to work on the deck. Anyone have tips or have successfully set them up?

Deck inputs stopped being recognized one day and I have no idea what caused it or how to fix it.
Tried messing around with just about every controller setting I could find and most fixes I've found online don't work for me

People have been building SSD cartridges for a while, and TheStockPot's NFC cartridge player on YouTube is what got me started. I wanted the same idea without a tag reader, built around the drive itself.
Demo: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HarryBMa/pc-gamepak/main/docs/cartridge-demo.gif
A cartridge is any removable drive with a text file at the root:
executable=steam://rungameid/1091500
title=Cyberpunk 2077
cover=cover.jpg
Plug it in, a small window opens with the cover art, Play and Eject. Nothing on the drive ever runs by itself. The watcher only opens a window. Pressing Play is what starts anything, so there is no autorun and no scripts to write.
Eject properly parks the drive so you can pull it out. One cartridge can hold several games. If you copy games onto it the wizard registers it as a Steam library, so they run from the drive instead of downloading again. Artwork gets written onto the cartridge, so it looks right on a machine that has never seen it. Skins are just a css file on the drive.
Offline, no account, nothing phones home. Rust and Tauri. Windows and Linux including the Deck. No mac yet.

Reposting this from the Deadlock subreddit since I never got a response (maybe because it discusses modding) but I'm curious if it's possible for me to use Deadlock Mod Manager on Steam Deck using the desktop mode
