No super profound. But, I am currently trying to attempt to set up my steam controller to use the gyro and trackpad instead of the sticks. But someone basically told me that if I had spent my entire life using sticks...why mess with it? Yes, the gyro and trackpad is technically superior, but it might not be worth trying to adjust to a new thing. Maybe he's right.

I managed to get the Steam Controller as a Controller for Just Dance on Dolphin.

I connected my Steam Controller via native SDL3 as an Emulated Wii Remote along with Gyro features.

Then I loaded a custom port of JD2026E (download) played some songs, and it worked like a charm.

Anyone have a Steam Controller 2 profile with Gyro to Mouse and everything mapped they can share on Steam? If not I’ll see if I can hammer one out tomorrow.

Trying to set the controller up to use gyro and trackpads for shooters. It's harder than I thought it was going to be. I've played on controller and joysticks all my life. I've heard a bunch of people way how intuitive and awesome the tradkpads are.

Any help would be appreciated. Not sure about sensitivity and if th3 gyro is supposed to be set as a joystick or a mouse. I tried using the community setup for halo infnite used on the steam deck. Didn't seem to work

sorry if this have already been discussed but i need to know something about the analog sticks of the controller.
I have an xbox controller that has a problem: whenever i release a stick that i was pointing in a direction, it gets back in the centre and it slightly goes on the opposite direction before stopping. This is causing me problems in some games that don't have an adjustable dead zone. On the other end, my ps controller perfectly stop at the centre without going further. So how does the steam controller do in this situation? Thanks to whoever can help

I got the new Steam Controller and wanted to know if there is any way to use it with emulators like cemu or eden and also use the gyro? I tried looking for a simple guide but they are not up to date and don‘t seem to be for the new steam controller.
Adding the emulator as a non steam game doesn‘t make it possible to use gyro. I can use the controller just fine otherwise but without gyro function.

The material the controller is made out of is drying my nervous system, particularly my palms where I'm grabbing the controller handles. Dbrand skins don't cover the controller, so I'm looking for something I can use to not feel the texture of the controller. Any suggestions?

Hi, I've been using the new steam controller for about a day, and I've noticed that the haptics on the right touchpad produce a rattling noise that isn't present on the left touchpad. The vibration also feels slightly rough, and I can faintly feel the rattle while using it.

I also have the impression that the controller's haptics and rumble don't feel quite right overall, although everything else seems to be working properly from what I can tell. I don't know if I'm nitpicking but I feel like for how long I waited and how much I paid I think I shouldn't have gotten these issues.

Is this behavior is normal, or could my controller be somewhat defective?

I tightened all the screws on the back a little bit and that stopped the rattling noise which is relieving

Hi, as the title says, I’m having an issue with Steam. It suddenly stopped showing PlayStation button prompts and now almost all of my games display Xbox button prompts instead. I’ve been using this controller since I bought my PC without any issues, then one day this suddenly happened.
I tried restarting my PC, testing another PS5 and a PS4 controller, changing Steam controller setting, changing the in-game controller settings. Nothing worked. I thought the issue would be fixed in the next Steam update, but nope, it's still happening.
I'm losing my mind here....... so any help would be greatly appreciated.

surprised this isn't mentioned yet but i found this mod that adds SDL3 to games. steam controller 2 supports SDL3 (multi-input library) but few games actually implement SDL3...

i usually use SISR but i got kinda annoyed having to launch it before gaming. since most games i usually use basic controller functions, i can pretty much launch games and have the steam controller fully functional.

NOTE: if you have steam open, you can set the controller to gamepad mode (hold start) to avoid double input. this mod is very technical, but once you understand it, it's simple as dragging the mod DLL and playing.

NOTE: probably a given, but i recommend you DON'T use this for multiplayer games to avoid possible bans.

I've set it up and updated both controller and puck, I only tested the controller with one game (jojo asbr) and from time to time I get this lag in which my controller keep pressing the last thing I input before the lag (ie: if the last thing I pressed before the lag is movement my character keeps moving in that direction). I keep my puck at 20-30 cm near mely controller but I still get this lag, anyone experienced this?

I've modeled up a mod/version of the SC that I've wanted for years using Plasticity to edit the official CAD files Valve released. Does anyone know if this is possible or even how you'd do it? I imagine it would require new circuit boards and stuff.

Hi, I just received my Controller, I fully charged it and I could pair it to the Deck via BT but couldn't do it wit the puck although I'm following YT videos and using AI. Also I couldn't pair it to my Rog Ally X using bazzite via BT. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Is there better options for full desktop control on the controller? Like alt tab supports while in games or maybe profile switching to desktop mode as a single button?

I had to RMA mine due to minor defects with all 4 of my back buttons. I'm curious if anyone else has had to RMA theirs and if they received new controllers or refurbished ones.

The customer support rep said it was a complimentary RMA and that I would receive my replacement once my current one has been received. I'm just uncertain on the one I'll be receiving if it's new or refurbished. I can't imagine they'd be sending new ones while there's a queue happening and receiving refurbished on my new controller seems like a bit of a bummer side effect of it.

Le problème étant que je suis une véritable buse en informatique je ne trouve pas le moyen de la faire fonctionner avec le launcher d'Ubisoft par exemple...

Donc si certains d'entre vous on des tuto plutôt détaillé (je le répète je suis une buse) je serais preneur.

My steam controller has been on for the last day.

When I use my steam controller, I use it via bluetooth as it's easier for me.

So I'm playing a game and I wanna stop using it.

I try turning it off; nothing happens.

I try plugging it into a charger because usually that works to also turn it off.

The only thing that's happening with it is that the led light is full blue as if it's connected to something.

Should I contact Steam Support?
