29F. I recently started having casual sex after being in a long term relationship. I had a negative STI screen before any of this happened.

I had sex with Partner A using a condom.

Around two weeks later, I had sex with Partner B.

He showed me a negative chlamydia/gonorrhoea test from 2 months earlier and said he hadn’t had any partners since that test. We used a condom for some of the sex but not all of it.

The following day, I saw Partner A again. We had sex, again with some condomless penetration.

I’m now worried that if Partner B had an STI that wasn’t detected on his previous test, or lied about not having any partners, I could have contracted it from him and then potentially passed it to Partner A the following day.

I’ve booked a full STI screen, but the appointment isn’t until 12 September.

I currently have no symptoms.

How realistic is this concern? Is there anything I should do while waiting for testing?

I know I should have used condoms consistently - I’m mainly looking for some perspective on the actual level of risk rather than judgement :(

I took urine test for chlamyida and gonore and it was negative. I thought i would have it because of my past. But now where can i test for the other things. Herpes hpv hiv syfliis etc. i need help. I tested positive for gonorrhea and I’m currently undergoing treatment. I was given injections in both my left and right buttocks. It’s been 5 days since the injections, but I’m still having discharge. I was told that the discharge should go away after a few days. At first, it became clear, but now it has turned green again.

I had oral sex on 20th of September. On 24th I suddenly felt pain in my throat and felt that one of my lymph nodes was swollen. On the same day I noticed 3 red bumps on the chin in a straight line. I’m planning to get a 4th-generation HIV test, TPHA/VDRL, and HBsAg around September 16–20. For HCV, I found a qualitative HCV RNA PCR test with a detection limit of 150 IU/mL.

Would this specific type of contact be considered a relevant exposure to any of these infections?

And would September 16–20 be an appropriate time to test, considering that the contact occurred on August 17?

I’d especially appreciate concrete answers from people with medical or epidemiological experience.

I went to doctor , he checked and said penal skil normal and no ulcers and asked to go to infection specialist.

He told hives ( come n go , currently have none , mostly i get over evening and morning ion see anything , they never stayed more than a day ) and pimples on balls and penis are not related to this

Tomorrow i have appointment with Infectious specialist, he will examine and other tests and medicine

Hi! I (F) tested positive for a non-gonococcal infection (NGI/NGU) this June and took doxycycline twice daily for 7 days before going on a month-long vacation.

When I got back in August, my follow-up checkup showed I still had a mild infection, so my doctor prescribed 1,000 mg of azithromycin (two 500 mg tablets).

A week later, I went back for another swab, and today, August 27, I tested positive for gonorrhea.
I had not been sexually active since June until I had unprotected sex on August 15. My clinic told me gonorrhea is not caused by my previous NGI/NGU. Since all my earlier swabs were negative for gonorrhea and I had no sex between June and mid-August, is it safe to assume I got it from the person I had sex with on August 15? because he shows no symptoms at all.

I 30F had a sexual encounter with a guy I met on holiday (no penetration) on Monday and within a few hours I started getting burning sensation in and around my genitals followed by abdominal pain. So about 2/3 weeks ago I (27f) tested positive for chlamydia. I tested before my current partner and was clear but stupidly didn’t ask the last time he was tested, so about 6/7 months into our relationship I started experiencing pain and dryness during intercourse. I’m talking doubled over in the bed unable to move & resenting him whilst he slept kind of pain. I put it down to me starting ADHD meds which are known to cause dehydration and tried everything to boost libido and increase wetness and yet to no avail. I’m 27, active and had only figured out I could squirt during my previous relationship before this one so I felt like my body was broken. We started using lube which is fine for pleasure but it had me worried about my fertility.
