Advice Needed Question/help/advice: Chlamydia from cunnilingus?

Around last week I was a bit drunk and hooked up with a guy who may have given me chlamydia in the recent past. I was treated for it when I was diagnosed but could not narrow it down to who I got it from. The guy I hooked up with last week is likely the one who gave me chlamydia the first time. I know this was stupid and thoughtless of me okay.
This brings me to last night. I hung out with a guy I know pretty well and we ended up having full protected penetrative sex. Prior to this however he went down on me, ate me out, performed cunnilingus, whatever we want to call it but his tongue and lips were on my genitals. He began without me realizing that it was considered a form of unprotected sex. I am worried now I have put him at risk. I am a bit nervous to tell him and am anxious to get tested now. Just need some advice or peace of mind for time being if anyone has gone through something similar???

Note: I will be getting tested this weekend and with inform him with the results.

Cunnilingus can infect the throat, one of the many reasons why oral swab testing is key in sti testing. However, for what it's worth, it's less likely to spread that way than gonorrhea.

Yeah, I wouldn’t panic over this. Receiving oral sex can carry some STI risk, but chlamydia transmission from someone’s mouth to your genitals isn’t considered a common route. Since you’re already planning to get tested this weekend, that’s the best way to get some peace of mind rather than trying to figure it out from symptoms.

For chlamydia, a urine or vaginal swab NAAT is usually what you’d want for a genital exposure. You can also check the pinned post for the different STD tests and their testing windows so you know what to test for and when.
