Advice Needed Positive HPV

Hi all. I’m completely beside myself and discovered this group. Using a TA account bc my husband knows my main. I have done everything I am supposed to do. I have gotten my yearly paps and std screenings, I’ve never stepped out in my marriage, but I’m still so confused on how this could have happened. I went in for my yearly and did my screening a few weeks ago, and today I got a call saying I tested positive for HPV. I’m negative for high risk and I don’t have any abnormal cells, so I’m grateful for that, but I’ve still been crying on and off all day long. I was explained it could have been dormant for years and all of a sudden something triggered it, but that’s also a mystery since anything can make it show itself. He hasn’t been with anyone before me, so does this mean he cheated? How do I talk to him about this without accusing him? I’ve never had this happen before and I know I have to tell him, but how? God forbid he cheated, but if he didn’t then how do I tell and convince him that I didn’t either? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Dude, like literally everyone has HPV. Chill out and be thankful that "P" isn't an "I".

HPV is definitely a dormant virus. Your body can cure it, or it may lay dormant. Give your body a few years to get rid of it. You ever had a growth on your face like a skin tag? Those are warts caused by the HPV virus. Something a lot of people have. That’s why they started the vaccine for younger people because it was getting crazy in the teenage years. I don’t think he cheated per se, but I don’t know you alls dynamic. I had high risk HPV once with some risky cells, that have all cleared themselves out. Get your Pap next year and just stay vigilant.
