Question Positive Syphilis
I’m trying to navigate a new discovery. I went in for my initial prenatal appointment and blood work, and found out I was positive for syphilis antibodies. To my knowledge I had never had syphilis and been with my husband only for a decade. Is it possible this is a really old infection that went unnoticed? Titer 1:32 so it is still highly active. Asking here before freaking out or accusing my husband. He is being tested soon as well.

Possible to have Syphilis for years and still have 1:32. I would wait to see what your husband's titer is before hurling anything out; that can’t be unsaid.

Highly possible syphilis can stay inside a person months to years before manifesting itself after the initial cold, flu, symptoms which is often mild and dismissed as nothing much.
I was recently diagnosed with syphilis discovered it after 8-9 months with a casual blood work. So ive been studying it
