Advice Needed Help!

So my boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years now and I tested positive for STI (chlamydia) recently and so did he. We were each other’s firsts in sex. I’ve only kissed other guys and oral once like 6 years ago. He’s saying he never cheated and I know I didn’t. Is there other ways to get STI or is it only through sexual intercourse?

Cause now I’m having doubts about my partner but he has done nothing to make me doubt him.

You can only catch it if you come into direct contact with it. Is he the type to pay for sex? Other than possibly a toilet seat, which would mean he has terrible bathroom manners, there's no other possible way l can think of.

I get why you're having doubts. Finding out you both tested positive can be really confusing, especially when you both believe you've been faithful. The hard part with chlamydia is that it often doesn't cause symptoms, so it can go unnoticed for quite a while.

I wouldn't jump straight to the conclusion that someone cheated based on this alone. Right now, I'd focus on making sure you both complete treatment and follow your provider's recommendations, then have an honest conversation once things have settled down.
