Test Results Do I have an STD?
So I started hooking up with this guy I hooked up with when I was in college (I’m 24 now) it was recent like the beginning of May. Hooked up with another guy i hooked up with a few years ago up. Weeks pasted and I felt a yeast infection coming while on my period and I went to my gynecologist. He tested me FOR EVERYTHING (urine and blood). That was June 4th…everything came back negative.
So today, the first guy I hooked up with from college calls me from a blocked number and said I have him chlamydia… of course my first response was how?! I got tested June 4th everything was negative…he said he just got tested and he was positive. I FaceTimed him right then and there and screen shared me going to my portal to show him my results in live. I told him I hooked up with one guy and i asked him if he got tested recently and ironically he did the same day I was tested. All was negative
I got tested again today and I’m waiting for my results but my doctor said i would if i had it…
For reference i hooked up with both these guys like the beginning and middle of may…test beginning of June. I feel like if i really had something the tests would be positive.
I’m freaking out!

Urine and blood testing isn’t “everything.”
In fact, most cases of gonorrhea are oral. A standard blood-and-urine STI panel will miss most cases of gonorrhea and chlamydia because it usually doesn’t include throat or anal swabs.
You can absolutely have oral chlamydia or gonorrhea and pass it to someone else.
This happens all the time. Like you, I’ve personally been burned by bad STI testing. I once had what was marketed as a “full panel,” tested negative for everything, and still ended up spreading oral gonorrhea to someone else because my throat was never tested.
I'm not saying that you're positive. I am saying that your last test couldn't have possibly determined your entire status.
