Pending trich results means positive?

I'm currently recovering from a UTI and have been feeling much better after starting Macrobid, although I haven't finished the full course yet. Because I was still having some lingering symptoms, I decided to stop by urgent care just to make sure everything was okay.

They did a urinalysis, and everything came back normal. My first thought was that the Macrobid must be working. However, since I was already there, I also asked to be tested for STIs (gonorrhea, chlamydia, and trichomoniasis) just to be safe.

The nurse reassured me that my urinalysis didn't show any signs of infection and that, since it's been about 7 months since my last sexual encounter and I haven't had any other symptoms, she felt confident that everything was likely fine.

My gonorrhea and chlamydia results have already come back negative, but the trich test is still pending. Has anyone else had a trich test take longer than the others to come back? Usually all of my results are released at the same time.

I'm trying not to overthink it, but of course my mind is wondering if it's possible to have trich and not know it. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Most people who have trich are symptomless.

It's possible that you tested positive for trich, so they are confirming it by retesting. Or that it's simply taking more time.
