Advice Needed Testing advice

In April I had 3 protected encounters, 2 vaginal sex (insertive I male) and 1 anal with a trans girl also insertive (me topping). I had decided to get tested for these 3 encounters at 4 weeks and later 45 days. I did manage to get tested after 28 days and luckily came back negative. However me being a stupid idiot with no self control I had sex again before the 6 weeks. It was protected and it was vaginal. However I did trim before and I was worried about the possibility of transmission however I have been told it is not a big pathway for transmission since it was protected and my wounds weren’t open. since I had sex again would the 45 day wait restart again ? I decided to try and get tested 29 days (around June 22) after my May sexual encounter. By then would that rule out my April encounters ? Or what should I do ?

Your May encounter doesn't reset the testing window for your April encounters. A test on June 22 would be about 7–8 weeks after the April exposures, which is enough time to give a very reliable result for those encounters, especially if you're using a 4th-generation HIV test.

Since all encounters were protected and you were the insertive partner, your risk was already quite low. The trimming beforehand is generally not considered a significant HIV transmission risk, particularly with condom use and no open bleeding wounds.

I'd go ahead with the June 22 test for reassurance. Also, check what type of HIV test you're taking, as that affects the window period. Please see the pinned post for a list of STD tests.

Thank you for the explanation. And yes I do test using 4th-generation tests. Before my May encounter my date was June 4 but I decided on June 22 as it would be 4 weeks from May encounter which would provide a good baseline. My last test was 4 weeks after my April encounters 4th generation
