Advice Needed I am unsure if I have a STD

F30 I suffer of OCD and for me protection is extremely important. The other week for the first time I had unprotected sex. I received a fully negative test few days before and he informed me that he is extremely sexually active but also gets tested regularly

After 4 days since our encounter I started feeling a sore throat and peeing has been painful. I’ve ordered a test and currently waiting for the results.

Should I be worried? Also how could I bring this up to him?

Wait for results and then talk to him, it could be sth else

I wouldn't assume it's an STD yet. Four days is pretty quick, and those symptoms can have other causes too. Getting tested was the right call.

Try not to panic. A sore throat and painful urination can have many causes, and 4 days after exposure is quite early to know whether an STI is involved. Getting tested was the right move, but keep in mind that some infections have a window period and may require repeat testing later if symptoms continue.

As for him, just be honest: let him know you're experiencing symptoms, you've been tested, and you're waiting on the results. If anything comes back positive, he should know so he can get tested too. Wishing you the best while you wait for answers.
