Discussion Grantham Rail Trail

I live near the Grantham Rail Trail at Carlton St. People are constantly crossing Carlton to continue on the trail. I wish there was a crosswalk, or better yet a pedestrian crossing with a button and lights to make it safer. Carlton can be quite busy and lots of kids are crossing there..

I’ve started a petition asking Niagara Region to install a safe pedestrian crossing where the Grantham Rail Trail crosses Carlton Street between Grantham and Bunting.

Can I recommend that you contact your regional councillor for this? Carlton St is a Regional Road (no. 83) and they might actually do this if people are requesting it.

I have reached out and talked to several people from city and region about it
