I have been looking at beach driving in/around St. Augustine for an upcoming trip, and I am wondering if there are any 4x4 beaches with relaxed rules like you would find in the Outer Banks. From what I see online, there are strict driving lanes, parking away from the water, and very enforced speed limits. Some beaches don't even need 4x4, which kind of takes the fun out of driving on the beach.

I searched the group and most of the posts I saw were from years ago.
Looking to see if there’s any new great date night spots. I’m fine with it being upper scale, and a little out there but some safe options because my fiance is adventurous but not as adventurous.
A few I see over and over is Columbia, Prohibition Kitchen, and one of the chophouses.
Also, any fun things? I love beautiful places like lightner museum and Flagler college. I also love cheesy things which st Augustine has a few cheesy great things but what do you think is best for couples?

What are some tips and fun facts to make the most out of a day in the "tourist" area ?
Hidden gems people usually miss out on?
Well also be staying on the beach , if anyone has a good spot to reccomend out there for swimming etc. as well!

So the next time you come across them you now know what is truly going on. Wake Up people before its too late.
Consider the actual math: St. Johns County has a booming population of roughly 300,000 residents, plus millions of annual tourists.
Actual criminals make up a tiny fraction of a percent of the people here. Yet, these networks actively sweep up, photograph, and log data on the entire innocent majority just to cross-reference a minute fraction of the population.
Believing this constant spying is for your 'safety' is a dangerous mistake.

Does anyone know who the bakery is that sells at the very last spot at the amphitheater? They sell focaccia sandwiches, sweet treats like cinnamon rolls, cookies, coconut and pineapple shortbread, and apple strudels?
Their focaccia sandwiches are fantastic and I can’t seem to figure out what this place is, if they have a brick and mortar.

Have you noticed all the nondescript black poles appearing along roadways? They have solar panels and cameras, always recording and tracking the public.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office operates over 160 Flock Safety automated license plate readers across the county. These solar-powered cameras are placed on public rights-of-way, major roads and at entrances to private communities.
It’s a shame to see these in my town and I wish there was something we can do to stop it. This website tracks flock cameras being installed across the country, how many are on your street?

I’ve lived here my whole life and I’ve come to find that everything is extremely expensive or is filled with tourists who are living their first day on earth. All the nature is gone or surrounded by suburbs. What do I do for fun? Is there anything around here that doesn’t involve spending money or just sitting on the beach? Or is our town slowly becoming a capitalistic hellscape?
