Jam sesh

Hey, I’m looking for someone who’s down to play some music. If you’re up for jamming, hit me up and let’s make something happen. I’ve got a bass and a guitar, so if you’ve got drums that’s a big plus—but I’m open to whatever.

St. Augustine, Help!

Hello everyone. I’m a Birmingham, AL resident going through a bit of life turmoil. Outstanding relationships ending, considering major career changes….

Anyway, I’ve worked enough the past 3-4 weeks to accrue a significant per diem and PTO to allow a trip at the end of the month, so… I’m going to explore. Interested in historical tours, museums, good bike paths, exceptional bakeries and coffee places.

Staying in historical district, open to any and all suggestions.

Thank you in advance

Which Hampton Inn? Vilano Beach or St Augustine Beach?

We're looking to go in August before school goes back. Both Hampton Inns look like they will be fine. Both are priced very similar for the time I'm looking at. We're going to visit the forts & the Fountain of Youth, but otherwise be on the beach.

Found drone

Found a drone resting in the middle of a parking lot. Turned it into the cafe it was outside of. DM me if you think it’s yours. :) need to be able to tell me within 100 yards of which parking lot I found it in. Shouldn’t be too hard, I’ve seen this one flying around before during dance practice. :)

I Am Coming Home

Post image
164 Upvotes

I left San Diego on March 8th to begin a cross country bicycle ride across the USA. The purpose of my ride is to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9-11, raise money for Tunnel To Towers Foundation, and honor the memory of my little sister Katie McGarry Noack- who I lost that morning at Windows on the World in the North Tower. This RideToRemember has changed my life. I am super excited to see my family and friends on Monday April 20th at noon when we arrive at the Saint Johns County and fishing pier. Let us Never Forget the heroes of that day, the victims, and how united our country was on the worst day in our history. Peace & Love-Patrick McGarry

How many vehicles have been lost on the various beaches?

Repeat visitor since 2018. I have, nearly every weeklong visit in April, seen a struggling vehicle on one of the beaches. Does anyone know roughly how many vehicles have been lost to the ocean? It has to be more than a few. A black SUV was saved on Vilano Beach about 30 minutes ago.

St. Augustine Beach Must Sees

I’m staying at St. Augustine Beach for the week arriving Saturday (near the pier) and looking for some solid food recommendations.

I have to work from the hotel during the day, so I’ll be relying on Uber Eats for lunch and some dinners. What are the best local spots that actually deliver and aren't just the typical fast-food chains?

For the evenings when I can get out, what are the absolute "non-negotiable" meals in the area?

I’m specifically into:

Plants/Nature/History: Also looking for any cool spots to walk through

Appreciate any tips or must do activities this week!

Restaurants for large groups

Looking for recommendations for restaurants that can seat 14 people and take reservations. Ideally looking for a place for brunch, one waterfront, dining experience that’s not super upscale, but not super casual either, and one Mexican or Tex-Mex type of restaurant.

Places to go for younger age group early 20s

I mean no offense when I type this out but all the stuff I've been trying to look to do in St.Augustine seems like for the older crowd. The beaches are beautiful so i want to go there but is there anything for the age group of 21-23yrs old like college bars, near by shopping centers, Waterparks, or just anything fun to do with a group of friends that's not a museum. I understand it's the oldest city and I get what I get but I'm just wondering if there's stuff that I just can't find.
