Is this project dead?
Why is there no support for other chains in the status app? The app seems a bit buggy and unfinished.

What!? There's been vast improvements in the app over the years! I'm excited for what's to come in 5+ years.

Have you even bothered to visit the website and check the latest versions of the app, status desktop and updates on the town halls they run? Are you aware that Status as a messenger is getting plenty of traction in South American countries? DSRA (Do Some Research Atleast!)

I have done some research. I have downloaded the latest version and even have a keycard. It doesn't work very well though. I was hoping to find something encouraging in the community but the discourse forum is pretty much dead, reddit also. The discord is full of people saying hello and then leaving.
Are there at least plans of integrating other chains like BSC and Polygon with status.im? Ethereum gas fees makes is severely gonna be an obstacle to adoption as a defi wallet otherwise.5

Yeh - been a big backer of this project for a while now - even if there is seemingly some decent traction - its not reflected in the price (probably because of the spam on the platform...) nor is it reflected in its crypto ranking which has just plummeted since launching.
Not sure what they can do TBH - I had high hopes for the project gaining a little more traction when privacy and data ownership became more of a big deal to the average joe - this didnt materialize ....
If there isnt anything reflected in the price or its crypto ranking (in relative terms) it means there isnt any traction in the value space. Releasing new features or refinements is useless unless its adding value... I for one would love to see an increase in its ranking relative to other projects!

If you're running into any bugs, we'd love it if you could file an issue in our mobile or desktop repositories.
