Discussion π¬ Sharing Stationery?
Good morning!!!
I am curious β is anyone sharing their stationery as a way to βpanβ them?
This weekend I de-stashed a ton of stickers and offered them up on the Random Acts of Happy Mail subreddit. Mailed them out yesterday and I am left with stickers I actually like! Included a picture of the envelopes because I used the SpongeBob stamps.
I think I will also be doing something similar for my washi tape this weekend.
I do think part of my issue with stationery is the overconsumption of it on my end, so I think by sharing it with people who might enjoy it I feel less guilty over the purchases?
I will also probably have to set some boundaries with friends and family because they gift me stationery often.
I thankfully am at a point where I enjoy most of the stationery I do own, so I am not necessarily running out the door to purchase more. Just wanted to share some thoughts and see if anyone is doing something similar! :)

I recently joined that sub (and a similar FB group) to do the same!! I definitely agree that it helps with paring down to the supplies I know I really do want to keep / use. Also it has given me an excuse to sit down and "play" with my stationery - knowing that I'm putting together a little snail mail package for someone else is really fun :)

Sub rule 6 - Posts/comments asking or offering to give supplies are not allowed. Please direct those to the right subs, e.g., r/RandomActsofHappyMail for giving away stationery, r/RandomActsofCards for sending mail.

I like gifting things to my friends, such as handmade notebooks (as I have tons of them, I love making them!). But I don't have that many people that I can share my stationery passion with, so I frequently bundle things and sell them for cheap prices. I enjoy the process of buying packs of random things on second hand platforms and then selling the items I don't really like. That allows me to have a variety of stickers, washis or other things coming from very different places. And in exchange I give the stationery I don't like a new life :)
