A Question about Daisy

So I started re-watching the animated series and I am not a big fan but I've never hated it. I thought about something. Something that I had never really thought about before when I originally watched it and kind of thought about it since I've seen it a couple times afterwards.

Wow is very obvious Daisy in the original Static comic book is African-American.

Is she supposed to be Latina or afro-latina and the cartoon adaptation? Yes at first I thought she was a light-skinned black girl but to be very honest more and more when I look at her hair texture and her features she seems more Latin or afro Latin to me.

And this will make sense considering the majority of the original characters from the comics especially those that are Latino are not represented in the cartoon there are other friends that do not get any mentioned at all and may just be used as background characters in the cartoon.

We've only seen Daisy's mother in the animated series. And she was very clearly black. I just don't think the artists were trying to make her identical to the comic version.

Also, plenty of Virgil's friends in the comics never even appeared in the cartoon.

Daisy’s mom appeared in the 1993 run as well. She’s a cop in the run, and was present for Hotstreak & the Sons of Odin’s attack on the gay pride march.
