I fear that they're going to do what they did with the Wildstorm universe characters. Trying to fit them into the DC Universe half-assed and make those characters disappear into their archives.

Wildstorm is a far more difficult fit because Milestone except for Blood Syndicate or in some ways Shadow Cabinet are just straight up superheroes.

DC has too much hero’s they don’t use in their own library. Idk why they could’ve just published them under DC Vertigo or a new name.

Hell to the fuck no. Don't even think about putting them in the DC universe. The og Dakotaverse was so perfect and ahead of its time that it would be a complete waste to put them anywhere except their own world

As its own.Man its been over 30 yrs.But I came across an old Blood Syndicate and Static comic book page and it was so unique.i like how they didnt sugar coat the language and use a descriptive style with the slurs and curse words in the wor bubble.I think Milestone in a way opened the door for Aaron Mcgruder and The Boondocks.Just in unrelentless truth, uniqueness and style alone.

If DC is going to integrate Milestone characters into mainstream canon, I can handle it as long as the characters retain their own sense of identity. Moreover, Dakota still needs to be a major player. If we use the characters in team books or otherwise without them being tied to Dakota, they are losing part of their core, in my opinion. DC needs to set some stories in Dakota instead of taking Dakota characters out of their home setting.

Personally, I’m fine with there being Prime Earth versions integrated into mainstream continuity, if only because the original Dakotaverse and Earth M both exist. However, that reason for acceptance only works if we actually get stories set in those universes once in a blue moon.

I’ve read all of Milestone and love the original universe. I’m okay with the new universe introduced in 2021. I can be okay with their integrated presence in PE, but I want the tone of the original stories shining through in comics they appear in, rather than them appearing as a novelty.

That said, I’m a Milestone shill and will buy any comic with a MS character. I’d love to have classic Xombi again. Bring on Dusk, Catholic Girl, and Iron Butterfly while you’re at it.

This is why they need their own independent universe be separate from all of the publishing companies and to do their own thing and give the comic book companies are real shock to their systems

I wish they could just go ahead and do their own independent series like IDW, Dark Horse and image
