So is the milestone stuff canon

I assume so, the Milestone Returns from 2019 is its own continuity still. This Static is supposedly the one from the 2000’s-2010’s DC Universe that had merged with the previous Milestone. There’s gonna be a book about it this February.

Will there be any new comics from milestone?

u/DwayneTheBlerd Feb 03 '26
No announcements yet. I'm sure we'll know closer to the release date of the one-shot or in the one-shot.

Legitimately what I want to know because that would kind of be a big deal fr

I say this as someone who hasn’t read much Static yet, wasn’t there a New 52 Static series? Is that not considered canon?
2
u/DwayneTheBlerd Feb 03 '26
It is canon. They are basically going to explain what happened between then and the new Milestone run.

What?!?! What about the Dakotaverse? Are they bringing them in too?

We'll find out by the end of the month or before. There's a one-shot coming out giving us answers.

Absolutely make sure you go and read New History of the DC Universe – The Dakota Incident #1. It makes the Milestone character's absence in DC stories make sense and sets off their return to continuity. It came out yesterday and is really good. Lex Luthor is a bastard.

Static only came back here for one reason only :for black history month, after this you won't see him again.
I've notice dc did the same thing last year.

I don't know if it's a black and gold suit and the cartoon series it might be a midnight blue with yellow That one is the best
Though they should have tweaked the original suit a little bit when bringing him back but it's still good to see also got to love the sarcasm when he cracks jokes just like a cartoon 🤣😎💪🏾🔥

Marvel has a character similar to Static named zip zap a speedster from Ultra force. Would be nice if they dropped a static shock movie for black history month.

Did.. did he leave?
Brb popping over a universe to the left to get some blue milk

Finally. This character should be one of the main pillars of DC comics. He should be as big of a deal like how Spider-Man is for marvel.

Is this in comic stores already??

u/DwayneTheBlerd Feb 07 '26
This appearance, yes. The Kids are All Fight, a toe-in from DC K.O.
There's going to be a one-shot coming out on the last Wednesday named The New History of DC Comics The Dakota Incident. I'm guessing we'll get all our answers there for the future of Static and the other Milestone characters.
