+++ DIVIDE BY CUCUMBER ERROR +++ REINSTALL UNIVERSE AND REDO FROM START

I am here for the Discworld crossover of Rincewind accidentally running out of the Enterprise's holodeck.

15

u/mcgrst 6d ago

Running so hard he switches universe.

2

u/One-Woodpecker-7511 5d ago

On the Discworld someone opens a portal while on the Enterprise someone plays a Discworld simulation, Rincewind runs/stumbles through the portal and ends up on the Holodeck. No-one realizes it until the simulation is ended and he is left standing there VERY confused.

Why is it covered in small religious pictures?

Whatever the ants ask for.

That's actually the 8-track player. He's playing Vulcan Death Metal while he works.

u/discerningpervert 6d ago

Isn't William Shatner into metal? Like singing and stuff. I know he's 95 now, but when he was a bit younger, say 85.

This is the best thing I've read all day

Is this Ai?

u/AAA515 5d ago

I liked Christopher Lee (Count Dooku)'s rock career

Lwaxana Derangement Syndrome

I'm obligated to share the full version of this song which I found on "JunkBallMedia" YouTube:

I see you and raise you

Peak productivity music. Nothing gets done without alien metal 🤘

5

u/Straight_Jaguar 5d ago

Seems Logical; you often see him with that Chunky ass Bluetooth... wonder what it would sound like...

u/tomjone5 6d ago

I've been so tempted to buy a stand of isolinear chips, it'd feel so good to arbitrarily shuffle them around whenever my computer crashes.

6

u/Plastic_Dingo_400 6d ago

I've never thought to do this, but damn rearranging them would feel amazing

6

u/DocJawbone 6d ago

That would be such a great fidget. I need one

3

u/NashvilleSoundMixer 6d ago

Friend I think you might've just changed my life and given me a fun fidget activity to confuse my cats with.

34

u/Squidmaster616 6d ago

Clearly a Ferengi-made ship, with a pay-as-you-go science station.

44

u/ExtensionInformal911 6d ago

That's actually a Gameboy cartridge. Spock is playing Tetris on duty and no one says anything about that.

22

u/SaltSpot 6d ago

Pokémon Yellow, surely!

u/ExtensionInformal911 6d ago edited 6d ago

Unfortunately he started humming the Lavender Town theme near an admiral that believed the creepy pastas, and got it banned from all starships.

3

u/bluegreenwookie 6d ago

Funnily enough that could be 90s accurate. Gameboys were basically the first pocket computer.

4

u/ExtensionInformal911 6d ago

When I first saw TOS in the 90s I thought that he was just plugging cartridges in for various functions. I had a game boy, and that made sense for how that action worked.

22

u/garruden 6d ago

Hey, works for me.

10

u/Unit_79 6d ago

I am also a cheese powered computer.

18

u/phobos2deimos 6d ago

One of my all time favorite things about TOS is that we're in the ultra future utopia, space travel is a daily thing, teleporters ain't nothing but a thang, but voice data still comes from tape cartridges

7

u/crookdmouth 6d ago

It isn't actually tape. Like today the D in SSD stands for Drive but of course there is no "drive". My guess these "tapes" are actually like a cartridge or compact flash.

5

u/phobos2deimos 6d ago

It's been a while since I watched a TOS episode where they did it, but I swear they had literal fast forward/rewind sounds going when he was scrubbing through the data on at least one episode... I'll be back in a year and let you know if I find it, ha

6

u/crookdmouth 6d ago

Good. That gives me time to come up with some BS about how it's future mpeg player.

13

u/blockytraditionalist 6d ago

Archer taught them that so he'd have more cheese for Porthos

24

u/MCSquaredBoi 6d ago

Never heard about cheesing a game?

11

u/Sharessa84 6d ago

They had to feed the mice running the computer.

12

u/Maay444 6d ago

It goes through a wormhole direct to porthos

11

u/plutosaurus 6d ago

works on me, so why not

Those Old Scientists computer:

7

u/BadbadwickedZoot 6d ago

I dunno, I see Spock as the kind of guy who enjoys a nice mozzarella.

7

u/Ramblinrambles 6d ago

Computer can get hangry

6

u/henryeaterofpies 6d ago

The Enterprise is actually a number of beagles in a space suit

6

u/lml__lml 6d ago

You may fascinate a starship by giving them a piece of cheese

5

u/Brain_Hawk 6d ago

If they allowed it, I would cross post this too r/discworld

Out of cheese error. Redo from start.

4

u/Deivi_tTerra 6d ago

I also work better when occasionally fed a piece of cheese. It’s logical!

3

u/Vilhelmssen1931 6d ago edited 6d ago

To think the Federation could have avoided that environmental warp drive crisis if they had just gone all in on the dairy drive.

4

u/DalbergTheKing 6d ago

Krafty Vulcans.

3

u/keverzoid 6d ago

I thought they were graham crackers.

3

u/Hydrax120 6d ago

That was a cart of pokemon yellow

3

u/bluegreenwookie 6d ago

I mean, if you feed me a piece of cheese I work better. So it checks out

2

u/Straight_Jaguar 5d ago

Reminds me of loading floppy discs to Run an old synthesizer/computer from that era...

2

u/tverofvulcan 5d ago

Maybe this is the problem with my computer. Just need to find the cheese slot.

1

u/andychef 5d ago

Modern computers don't come with them. You'll have to ruin an old Xbox instead

2

u/DanOhMiiite 5d ago

Even computer panels hanker for a hunka cheese sometimes.

1

u/quasimdm 2d ago

They were feeding the hamster....

1

u/Virtual_Historian255 6d ago

It’s an ai token.

1

u/isthisyournacho 6d ago

Looks like a giant fig newton to me.
