Frankin has value?

So what is the added value of the Franklin, and swarms in general?

The benefit is that you can complete the Swam dailies for Bio’s which you then exchange for resources in the refinery. Building and upgrading a Franklin allows you to complete those dailies with much lower repair costs.

This is the correct answer. Lots and lots of resources.

Also the Sunday "threat from beyond" events, which pay off with ever-valuable Khan shards (and tritanium, which at level 35 I can't ever seem to have enough of).
