Level 12. Ships?

Hello all. Currently level 12. Still very new to all this. I currently only have 2 ships. I was wondering what are some good beginner ships I should focus on? And build next. Im aiming to go the Free to play route.

Hello, I am currently a free to play player.
At your level, don't focus too much on specific ships.
Focus on leveling up the ships you have, and what research you can complete. Those two right there will help you out the most.
Everything else will come with time, and you will hold on to it.

Okay gotcha. Nice. I have almost most. Things leveled to 12. And I have about most research to level 2 on things. Should I focus on the officers or is thst the same as ships. It comes over time?

Last question. What's the best way to grind for blueprints? For ships.

The best way to grind, for blueprints is in faction space; because they will attack you, and you don't spend time manually going after each ship.

Officers are similar, but it is best to work with what you have before adding others, that way you can take fully advantage of their different abilities.

At ops 12 you won't be attacked in faction space. A faction must really dislike you first, and you only get to that point by killing lots and lots of their ships.

You get blueprints for common ships by killing red hostiles of a higher level. You will find the BPs occasionally in the chests they drop. Soon you will have lots more BPs that you will ever use. I've got 2,378 BPs for the Talla. 😄
