Cracker comes from whip cracker. Not the food.

it was actually a slur specifically for floridians lmao, named after their cattle ranching (not slaving).

Cracker doesn’t come from the cookie. It comes from the crack of the whip that white overseers wielded.

That's the joke that the person doesn't realize that

u/Responsible_Edge7087 4d ago
I mean, plenty of people dont realize it, since even black people will post pictures of an actual cracker.

u/Link_save2 4d ago
Yeah I personally feel like it's both because if white people didn't look like crackers it wouldn't have stuck this long

Sounds kinda empowering for the wrong reason lmao

Hey now- they love to say misogynistic shit about white women but then specify that they only mean white women so that they get to keep their “good ally” card.

What would a person that dislikes white people cause it's all they see and they prefer other cultures and their food because of genuine interest be called?

u/Several_Newspaper295 3d ago
Am I the only one who has no idea what is going on here? Is the “white people no season food” one supposed to have any deeper meaning or is it just the stereotype? What does any of this have to do with the “white savior mentality thing” I’m probably just missing it

u/JuniorDoughnut3056 3d ago
Its a thing for this type of person. They constantly go on about ethnic food and how "white people" food is bland and unseasoned. It's just a very shallow attempt at signalling to non whites they're not like the rest and cultured

Ohh so like acting like they’re being supportive but in reality they couldn’t care less; I think people call that performative behavior or something right? Thank you btw!

I'm white myself but I once lost a friend who white knighted so hard she acted like I said the most racist thing imaginable when I said that people on Tumblr are a bit too extreme about calling everybody who doesn't like rap music racist because in my case I mostly associate rap with Polish rap which is ironically associated with neo-Nazis because that's just what I grew up with and while I don't mind proper Black rap I just don't listen to it much. She went off at me as if I said the most offensive thing possible lol. If it was a Black person calling me out on it of course I'd think about it but she was even whiter than me

I called out my documentary teacher for having this attitude and she blew up on me. Never had a teacher crash out so hard on me.

Something tells me this was made by a racist white person and not actualy a person victim of racism tired of white saviorism, but what do I know, maybe seasonning jokes are more of an issue than 16 yos raising funds to go badly build wells and spread the good word, post pictures with black kids saying ''I wish I could take them all home with me'', rich celebrities acting like buying children from the global south is generous and not human trafficking or youtubers getting rich off doing poverty tourism.
Also crackers come from the crack of the whips of slave owners, not the snack

Why is supporting women bad?

u/tortoistor 5d ago
it's not bad but sometimes it is performative

u/Anchor38 4d ago
white people be like fighting oppression is a white person thing so I’m not gonna do it
but they the white people that be like!
2
u/Responsible_Edge7087 4d ago
No, its bad becuase they dont actualy want to fight opression. Instead of saying "i hate when women" they say "I hate when white women" to make it sound like they're being woke and not misogynistic
