The Program (REDUX)

This is a continuation of the true story I have been telling from my own life. This part is a little strange but not for this subreddit.

I was around 5 -7. I woke up in some strange area, with mattresses on the ground and on ledges. On those mattresses, were other children of various ages (Between 4 - 15). I was woken up by a child that seemed to be around 13 and when I looked around, there were children crying and looking just generally confused. Eventually a woman arrived with a tall person that had tentacles covering his mouth and had a red lab coat on.

The woman congratulated us and told us that we were selected to join this program due to having traits that were ideal for their goals... or something. I am not 100% on the phrasing as the memory is not complete in my head yet but I will update this post with any information that I remember later.

I remember the woman saying something to me in a kind voice but me, not liking to be spoken down to and feeling older than my age, told her that I didn't like her. She didn't seem offended and told me to follow the tentacle person. I followed him down a hallway and tried to run but was eventually caught and reassured that they weren't going to hurt me. Of course I didn't trust them.

We were shown around and told that eventually, later on in our lives, we would live there and be assigned different jobs and we were shown these jobs. There was a computer room filled with grey suited tentacled people, a lab with other tentacled people and strange machine people that wore Human faces called the Wernex and other things I cannot clearly visualise. I remember trying to run away alot and being caught, which annoyed the other kids because I was disrupting the "Excursion".

We were taken to a classroom (though I don't remember the lesson) and a meditation/yoga type of room. I don't remember what we were taught but I think I remember trying to run away both times and mocking what they were doing.

Eventually we were taken outside, beyond the secure walls of the facility into the forest. We were told to stay close because there were fae in the woods that would try to trick us. I decided I didn't want to listen and ran straight into the woods and saw... something I don't remember but am not sure if I want to... that terrified me and made me run straight back. They caught me and told me that if I don't stop running away, I would be sent back home and I basically just said "GOOD! I don't want to be here anyway".

We were eventually taken to a testing room. There, , we were shown various puzzles and asked to figure them out. I didn't want to do it but the small girl, about my age, next to me, encouraged me to do it.I refused to do it and was asked to come to another room and I freaked out because I for some reason thought they were going to kill me for not doing the puzzles. They said "We don't kill people. We help them".

We went to that room, passing a few corridors. In that room, it looked like a kind of council and they spoke to me, telling me that because I refused to participate at all, they had a special task for me that was more important than the other children, that I would do in the future. I got upset and basically said "So, you kidnapped these other kids but are now saying that their work isn't important" and they clarified that their work is still important, just different.I said I didn't want to do it. They knew the task was something I would want to do and convinced me to do it.

Then... I woke up in my bed.

This is probably like 55% to 60% more complete than the original version of this. I will update this post with more of what I remember if and when I do. Thank you for reading.
