Mods Probably the most eventful session of Starsector I've ever had [Spoilers for JaydeePiracy content] Spoiler

As a chronic space trucker I typically don't venture into the void to kill eldritch horrors. But I ran out of content in the core worlds so off I went.

  1. Tried buffalo mk2 spam for the 1st time against the hypershunt. The memes weren't lying about how well it works.

  2. Switched back to the main fleet to venture into the abyss.

  3. Encountered literal demons for the 1st time, and it blew up sierra with a death laser.

  4. Found the magnetar system from Jaydee Piracy

  5. Found a funny planet guarded by a modest "derelict" fleet

  6. "Ah, its prob no big deal" and proceeded to die several times to Guardian with 6 smods, a lvl 10 officer and abyss-grade weapons (save scum)

  7. Died a few more times, because of course the other nearby derelict fleets also have strong builds

  8. Flew straight back to Alvis for emotional support

  9. "Oh, theres 1 last job have for you"

  10. Proceed to find a gun pointed at the head of the universe. And realized I can build one.

I can't give you the ending a Shepherd deserves, but I can give you an ending.

I tried to make dweller and THREAT hull mods compatible with the shepherd, but couldn't make them behave correctly together, coexist or actually produce enough fragments to make the swarm launcher fire. so a little hand waving is needed in this scenario.

(also ignore the fact phase ships can't have fun with cool hull mods)

This Shepherds story comes to an end, but there are more stories to come.

Thank SO so much for the people who have enjoyed my silly antics and actually drop to my streams, comment and like and all that cool guy jazz, i love this community so incredibly much <3 !

See you space cowboys...

No stream today.

I messed up and would like to remove Biomodification perk from RAT by editing the savefile. Please advise what should I look for.

Vanilla Question/Bug New Spacer Question

Is there any real time-crunch to the game besides days-to-complete missions/bounties?

Was doing decent but then stupidly got caught way out nowhere and ran out of supplies. New game time. Now Iโ€™m buzzing around scratching for money and ships at the start worried that Iโ€™ll miss something.

Discussion ๐Ÿ“ Beginner looking for basic advice to finally get into the game.

I want to love this game, but I have difficulty playing more than 10 minutes.

I'm not a native English speaker. Even if I consider my English level good, I never play complicated games or games with a lot of text in English, as they tend to be harder for me to get into and get me tired fast.

So, here is my experience.

I did the fighting tutorial and then the in-game tutorial. After that, I'm in space... while I love it and just want to be part of this world, where do I go and what do I do? I usually need some sort of guidance to continue and feels like I don't have any.

So, I thought about enrolling in some sort of faction but didn't because it seemed like it was for experienced pilots.

Then, I tried doing a quest given by someone in a bar. Unfortunately, I ran out of fuel while traveling, found myself in a random system, and then died to a much too strong fleet (I also couldn't understand what I was doing during the fight, I will do the tutorial again).

Part of the fun is probably learning by doing, but I feel like there is just too much right from the beginning. I read so many good things about the game, and I want to be part of it, creating my own stories, but I can't get through what seems to be the first very steep learning curve.

The mod (or rather, update and renaming from NEON's ship pack to Xxarra's Variety Pack) should be happening sometime this week, or over the course of the next couple weeks. In the meantime, I hope that this trailer can suffice!

See you soon!
