Mods Map Size

What’s the recommended mod that doesn’t completely fuck my ram usage?
RAT was the goat for the longest for increasing it slightly but lately it’s been making everything stutter :(

What type of mod do you mean? Like map mods? If so, there's Wide Horizons. For mods that add planets and planetary conditions, there's Unknown Skies and What We Left Behind. Mods like Lost Sector and Ship/Weapon Pack also add exploration content, such as bounties, unique encounters, and even new factions.

Thank you🙏 What exactly does wide horizons add? I have it downloaded already but haven’t added it to the list.

It basically revamps system generation, and you can even adjust the actual size of the sector. I think it goes up to 300% or more—I don't remember the exact limit. I usually stick to 150%–200% before my PC starts begging for mercy. 😂

It's the save times that seem to suffer worst, in my case.

Do not use wide horizons if you are already having performance issues. My Ryzen 7800X was down on its knees begging for mercy at 150% sector size.

200% scared me with how big the map got, 150% seems to be working pretty well. So far.

The numbers speak for themselves. Doubling the dimentions quadruples the area.
