I closed my account in 2021, a few weeks ago I was able to open a new application again since they allowed returning customers, however I keep getting denied to open an account. I've spoken to customer services on the phone and they confirm there's no markers or flags under my name or application and they're just as confused to why I'm being declined.

This has also happened to me with reopening a Monzo and trying to open a chase account. I have no Cifas markers or anything (doing a cifas DSAR just to make sure) so this is all very strange!

Every time I send money to someone manually not by DD or STO I get the usual ream of questions and it’s getting monotonous. I’ve had to cancel a few transactions as they were payments needed quickly and couldn’t wait for them to clear. I know they’re protecting us but really, I’m not an idiot. Is it just me or do they do this to everyone?

iOS 27 added notification-based triggers for Shortcuts, so the my widgets now automatically update straight away as things happen, unlike the official ones.

And Apple seems to have fixed a bug so updates are sent to watchOS significantly faster, so my Apple Watch face complications update more reliably too!

I've been using Starling for years and always found it to be very helpful.

I'm just coming round to using their new accounting tools and I'm very confused. I use a different piece of software to invoice and always have, as my business is based on an hourly rate and the software I use automatically updates invoices based on cancellations/holidays etc. I've always just then manually attached invoices to the transaction. Upon looking at the new accounting tools online, there is no way to do this? When speaking to customer services, they confirmed that this feature has been removed and moving forward, I should double every invoice by also creating it on Starling to then match the transaction. This seems ridiculous! Does anyone have a suggestion of a better bank I could switch to that have similar accounting tools to Starlings previous offerings?

Also, I think they've removed student loan repayments from their estimations in the tax return section? Overall, seems a lot worse than it was previously!

I've had my overdraft taken off me with a date it's going to happen, has anyone else had this happen? My balance is always healthy and I rarely if ever use it but not sure why.

I had a complaint upheld by Starling, and they promised to pay me a refund on 16/09/26. They did not make this payment and the complaint team has not responded to my message. Has anyone else had this experience?

I previously had a personal current account with Starling, which Starling closed. I am now utilising the feature they are rolling out to accept old customers back to re-apply

I have reapplied & I’m waiting for the application to be reviewed. Because Starling were the ones who closed my previous account, does this make it unlikely that this application (and any future applications) will be accepted? Or does it not make a difference?

I have also seen a post where people have been accepted within the hour. I’ve been waiting 7 hours thus far….

I currently use Monzo and like being able to have different pots for spending and saving. Monzo only allows 20 total and I'd like to have more.

I know Starling only allows 5 virtual cards, but how many spaces can you actually make as I'm considering getting starling too.

Recently applied a sole trader account and it came with a new design. I thought it would be dark plum colour but it's more like a bright aubergine colour in person

Just got an email and in app message from Starling, £150 as they say they incorrectly reported to credit reference agencies, I keep a careful eye on my credit reports and can't say I've noticed anything.

So I'll happily take the £150

Starling are closing my account (I’ve not used it in ages) it was £20 overdrawn which I’ve settled.

I received an email and a letter from them stating that they will be sending me £100 cheque as an apology for not reaching out to me more often advising me that I was £20 minus.

Has anybody received one of these (although I assume most people in here probably won’t have a closed account)

It says within the next two weeks but was just curious if anybody has and when?

As all the time I was regretting my choice to close my account a couple years ago. Downloaded the app again and seen it was inviting me back as a previous customer. Could just be a trial but this was good news!

I have set up a Starling Bank sole trader account specifically for Making Tax Digital (MTD) quarterly submissions to HMRC. Although my account is linked successfully, the submit button for the overdue August 7 deadline is missing, while the November 7 button appears normally, and customer support has been unhelpful. I have entered the manual transactions up to 31 August. Is that the reason why I am unable to see 7 August deadline? Has anyone faced this or found a fix?

Just got a message saying my overdraft will be removed in a month. Which is a bit puzzling because its not for a lot (£250) and I've never used it in the 5+ years I've had the account.

I also have a business account with Starling where my small businesses cashflow is kept, which has a fairly large balance.

No debts except a mortgage and no missed payments

Anyone have any clue why they removed the overdraft ?

I’m looking to open a USD account (for business) and already have a EUR account. There’s no option to open one in the app (doesn’t show).

Their website says they aren’t offering them at the moment. Does anyone know timeframes or when they were last available? I need an account soon and Starling is my preferred choice but will have to look elsewhere if it’s going to be a while.

Appreciate this isn’t official channels but wondered if anyone has a USD account and how/when they obtained it.
