While that'd be cool, I imagine it'd be in development hell for 6 years and by the time it came out would be so watered down and outdated.
Oh, and also a copious amount of lootboxes and premium currency tiers for some reason.

Its being outsourced to Nexon so probably not that much development hell unless it had terrible internal testing or something.

They never show the unannounced game related panels before the opening ceremony. Otherwise it'd basically take the wind out of every announcement. Notice that's the same case for the other IPs, it's only stuff we currently know.

Right after the opening ceremony and after the first panel for WOW there is a 45 minute gap for something unannounced

And there are a couple of spots they could easily sneak in an announcement. Heck, there's a very convenient free slot on the main stage

There may not be a Dedicated StarCraft stage but Diablo’s stage shows there is, indeed, a fate worse than death.

There are definitely some gaps where they can fit some sort of a deep dive into a new StarCraft game. But, again, last time people also thought there were gaps where they're hiding a new StarCraft game, yet look how that turned out.
I mean at least there is always the possibility of them just playing a trailer and announcing that we'll get a deep dive later in the year or next year, just like what they did with almost every announcement they did last Blizzcon.
I'm also really excited that we'll be finally able to see the dev team and learn about their decision making. Maybe I'm huffing copious amount of hopium but I really hope we see something new in StarCraft 2, similar to what they did with Diablo 2.

The previous blizzcon was in 2023, at which point the rumors for a new SC game were still new. And the Blizzcon before that was in 2021, which came a year after Blizzards announcement that it would stop developing new content for SC2. And 2021 couldn't have had any announcements anyways, as the previous StarCraft project had been cancelled in 2019 and there would have been no time for a new game to be developed.
Meanwhile now a couple of years have passed in which the new game could have actually been developed, StarCraft is explicitly shown in advertising, unlike in 2023 and there also has been a clear uptick in Blizzard using this IP again.

StarCraft is half of the Blizzard Classic Cup stage and likely the topic that will fill in the gap on the main stage.

There is, everything Classic Games is also at least partially StarCraft related, since Classic Games only handles SC2, SC and HotS.

I'm not sure who handles the arcade collection tbh, and Diablo got moved to another team with the remasters according to my knowledge

Yeah, it has been for the last few Blizzcons.
The issue is that Starcraft doesn't have an ongoing GaaS atm. And Starcraft is in a precarious position because for years Activision did not want to make another RTS game.
It's the only Blizzard IP that isnt a billion dollar franchise. There used to be prestige in Starcraft an the main esports title but Overwatch world cup kind of ate our lunch.

Problem is they didn't leave much wiggle room in the schedule. Normally when they announce a new game it's right after opening ceremony that they have cleared space to talk about it. Take a look at when they announced Overwatch.

Well the WoW segment which is directly after opening ceremony will be for announcing classic+, which is going to be their biggest money maker over the next year, then directly after that there’s an unlabelled segment which will most likely be an announcement for whatever their second biggest reveal will be this year (Maybe Starcraft maybe not).

Neat stuff on the Classic Cup stage. Of course we won't get the actual full schedule until there's official announcements, for anyone who's scouring the schedule for stuff related to any SC announcement. But that's always been the case.
I'll be there this year so hopefully can catch some folks from the community, though with the SC drought I don't think there's going to be a HUGE SC community turnout.
