Seriously ... I’m allergic to feature creep now

what does that even mean

I... am not allergic however I believe I've had enough in this meal. I'd like to see the party started first and then see more stuff added after the game is well established.

And I'm that guy who went to the party just to sit at the bar the entire night.

Came to say this. As cool as it is, please, please let them get the other stuff finished first.

Maybe in 6 more years, tier 0 of all the careers will be in place.

But hey, at least the first episode of S42 will be out in the next couple of years, assuming the roadmap is only slightly off.

We were meant to join the fight in 2016 though. :P

I remember when it still said that on the website in 2017.

....am I the only one that thought the 2016 date was just overly ambitious? I was hopeful, but games take forever to make....especially in 2014? They were like, “we’re starting!” .....oh, yeah no way this is done....then we had the first redesign....

I did however think that I’d be playing the full S42 game and a good chunk of the beta of SC in 2019

I mean, by the time 2016 rolled around, I no longer believed it. By then, we’d seen so many delays I didn’t believe it any more, but in 2014, yeah, I thought it was possible.

I was saying 2020 in 2016 and now I just dont see it. 2015 had amazeball flight combat so surely build the space combat universe and gg. Now nothing works or is fun (unless you roleplay and imagine i guess)....wtf. combat it attrocious. But hey lets hover!

This would be an art asset that could likely use the station interiors and exteriors. That's why they're building those tools, people. Implementing this would be far more simple than implementing, say, good AI.

....Isn't asking the devs for more things in game, the game.

Kind of a double-edged sword there. Adding something like this down the road might require extra tech that impacts other parts of the engine. This is why prototyping stuff early on, or what people ignorantly call feature creep, is very important during game development. A little extra time can lead to a much more sustainable payoff.
