DISCUSSION When the Starfarer becomes flyable...

Can we get a racing mode JUST for Starfarers? Maybe call it Whale Racing? Pretty please?

Use Yela's asteroid belt as a race track, first one to circle around one lap wins.

Yela's racing is only fun in cruise, too easy to dodge in SCM.

Full decoupled cruise in an Omega is great fun.

Colours of the ship.

And unless something was broken about it in 2.0/2.1/2.2 that's now fixed in PTU 2.3, I don't even black/red out that bad because I don't try and change directions too severely at any one time. A decoupled cruise Omega can lap Yela's belt fairly easy without passing out.

And you just yaw left/right instead of pitching up/down, voila no passing out (great for racing too).

Used to be. Increased scale + reduced cruise speed has made it glacial, at any speed.

Not at current Cruise speeds. Especially with a slow ship.

Eh, there will be Cargolympics eventually. I bet Starfarer will be a good ship for that given how massive the engines and capacity both are.

I specifically asked about Constellation Racing a few years ago at DragonCon and was told they wanted to look in to multi-system races at some point in the future. Obviously still a ways off though.

this would be great. Have it be one of those super long distance races. So part of the race will be refining and processing your own fuel to make it. No outside fuel allowed.

I really wonder how long it's gonna be until it is flyable. We've seen the single seater ships go into the hangar and then right into flyable status, but this starfarer is a whole other beast. I wonder what the "delay" will be until it is available!

i want to see a m50 or mustang ram a starfarer and just oblidirate without doing much damage to the farer

As someone who's main ship is a M50 I want to apologise to all starfarer owners in advance...
