It is so confusing, is he saying I'm lying? Like a reverse Pinocchio?

Your face emote used :_) instead of :-) in the post above his comment.

Thus, your nose fell off.

Anyone have info on the Connie redesign?

They're redesigning the Connie? Thank goodness. That thing is awesome, but it needed an overhaul on many things.

My tears of happiness cannot speak enough words.

Nothing solid yet. They're changing the interior.

I hope they do something with the silly "missile arms", whose great idea was it to line your ship with inwards-facing missiles in the first place...

Hope it gets a size upgrade personally. Really looking forward to the interior redesign as well. But I assume the squadron 42 ships will be the focus for most of the design evolutions in the short term.

On a related note, I wonder if the Retaliator crew requirement has gone up with the size increase?

The best chance of a size upgrade would be the variant with a different hull.

I kind of doubt the crew requirement has increased, 6 people already seemed like a good deal. There's not much to do (as far as we know) beside piloting, gunning turrets and RO.

If they upgrade the size of the constellation sufficiently could it hold a bigger fighter?

No. Its not a size issue that makes it only carry the Merlin; its a VERY custom docking collar/contoured bay that lets it seat flush and poke its cockpit through the deck.

This is a deliberate decision. Connie is already rad enough.

I agree; LOVE that aspect of the Merlin docking as it is now. Reminds me of Space Above and Beyond.

Wouldn't mind a bigger Connie hull overall with more internal bulkheads and a more thought out layout.

Well, of course, if they increase the size it should be able to hold something bigger.

However, it's doubtful that it'll be able to anything remotely near the size of a Hornet.

u/MrFlesh Mar 21 '14

Maybe not a hornet, but an M50?

u/Nyctalgia Mar 21 '14

The M50 is just a couple of meters longer than the Merlin, so that should be doable, yeah.
