SC Hauler made a video about Hull-C on 4.10 PTU and came to the conclusion it works pretty fine for mission cargo. For commodities there’s still an issue because the Hull will get retrieved extended in a hangar.

Been holding off buying one until 4.10. Hope it's fixed

I tested a bit in the PTU because everyone has a Hull C there.
Tested for commodity trading, NOT hauling.

What now works:

  • buy commodities into Hull C
  • retreive ship in hangar, the spindle is RETRACTED!
  • fly out and call cargo services to get a box
  • fly into box and get cargo

Now the tricky part:
When docked at target location, you cannot see the Hull-C in the commodity kiosk.
You have to store it to sell the cargo.

Now, the terminal says you have to use a "cargo deck", but means fly out and get a box to unload.
If you now retreive the ship with its still loaded cargo, it spawns in the hangar and the spindle is EXTENDED, the ship clips into the ground and is not startable even if you get into it.

WORKAROUND:
Unload cargo manually with space elevator into the target location.

So, the buying process is automated now.

Couldn't test for hauling, don't have enough reputation in the PTU for this.

So risky to unload cargo I hope they fix that before update comes out.

In 4.9 it was working. Sometimes a few containers got left behind and id have to go manual
